PayAnywhere Launches Phase Two of Aggressive Retail Channel Rollout

TROY -- PayAnywhere, the mobile point of sale technology provider, Monday announced a partnership with Harrisburg, Pa.-based D&H Distributing, the computer products and consumer electronics distributor, to kick off the second phase of PayAnywhere's  retail rollout strategy.

The partnership takes the PayAnywhere mobile point of sale system beyond the big box retailers the company announced partnerships with in 2012, and expands availability of PayAnywhere to small and independent retailers through large distributors like D&H.

Founded in 1918, D&H Distributing has become a major supplier of IT products to resellers focused on selling to small business technology customers. From server and infrastructure products to consumer electronics and gaming, the company's offerings cover a wide selection of SMB categories, products and applications. Partnerships with companies like PayAnywhere are an important part of the D&H commitment to take a hands-on approach to help both customers and manufactures achieve their business goals.

Retailers working with D&H distributors can now offer their customers the PayAnywhere mobile point of sale system as a way to conduct on-the-spot credit and debit card transactions using the mobile credit card reader, increasing sales opportunities and creating an improved checkout experience.

"The success of PayAnywhere's initial retail channel rollout, with larger retailers like Wal-Mart, The Home Depot, Office Max, Pep Boys, Meijer and Fred Meyer, has made PayAnywhere readers available across the U.S.," said Scott Addyman, vice president of sales, PayAnywhere. "PayAnywhere is partnering with D&H Distributing to further expand our retail channel presence and reach by providing a distribution model for smaller regional and independent retailers to utilize D&H for sourcing PayAnywhere."

PayAnywhere works with iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, Android and BlackBerry devices. PayAnywhere customers enjoy the lowest transaction rates in the industry, 2.69 percent for all swiped transactions regardless of the card type, with no hidden fees: no setup, monthly or cancellation fees, and funds typically deposited in their bank on the next business day.

PayAnywhere was created by Troy-based North American Bancard, a credit card merchant processor.
