"It's Fun, It's Upbeat" Says Country Music Fan At Hoedown

DETROIT (WWJ) - The Downtown Hoedown is going on all weekend at Comerica Park and if you are a country music fan - this is the place to be.

Mike Tyranski, of Yale, tells WWJ's Beth Fisher that he goes every year.

"It's a country concert in the city. It's pretty awesome," said Tyranski.

Tyranskee has Uncle Kracker on his list Saturday night. Jake Owen is playing Saturday and Joe Nichols on Sunday at the Hoedown, which is sponsored by our sister station, WYCD.

Jessica Czanstke, of Marine City, tell's WWJ she's at the event because, "it's the hoedown, for fun!"

Brandi Howard, of Chesterfield, was there Friday night and explains what she loves about country music.

"It's fun, it's upbeat ... party to it. It's not rap ... we can understand what they're saying," Howard laughed.

There will be 43 acts appearing on three stages.
