Warren Police Search For Bank Robber

WARREN (WWJ) - Police in Warren are searching for the man who robbed a bank at gunpoint.

The robbery occurred at the Huntington Bank at 12 Mile and Dequindre roads around 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Police say the suspect entered the bank, approached a teller with a small handgun and demanded money. The teller complied, handed over the cash, and the suspect fled on foot.

The lone suspect is described as a black male, 5-foot 10-inches, 190 to 200 lbs., wearing a dark knit mask to just below eyes, gray hooded zip-up sweatshirt with maroon Polo emblem on left chest, blue jeans, and newer white tennis shoes.

The suspect parked a vehicle in the Target parking lot just south of the bank. The vehicle is described as a white 2002 - 2005 Mercury Mountaineer with running boards and tan rocker panels.
