MILFORD (WWJ) – You don’t have to wait until the Fourth of July to see a big fireworks show.

Start the summer off with a bang at Kensington Metropark, which is hosting a “jaw-dropping” fireworks show on Saturday, June 15.

The pyrotechnic display is expected to begin around 10 p.m., but attendees are encouraged to arrive early due to crowd conditions.

There is a $10 special event daily vehicle permit required for vehicles entering the park after 5 p.m.; admission is free with an annual permit.

Kensington Metropark is located on 4,481 sprawling acres of wooded, hilly terrain surrounding Kent Lake in Milford.
