Breakfast On The Menu For Father's Day In Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM (WWJ) - Millions of people are taking their father out to eat today. In fact, the National Restaurant Association says more than 50-million Americans are eating out Sunday.

A manager at The Original Pancake House in Birmingham, Adam Belveck , says Father's Day is their third busiest day of the year right behind Mother's Day and Easter.

What do Dads like to eat?

"The Big Apple...that's, that's usually our number one. Pancakes are right, right behind it. Omelettes are there too."

Belveck says the Big Apple is a pancake that rises.

Keith Doody, of Royal Oak, was there with his wife and one-year-old daughter and spoke to WWJ's Beth Fisher about fatherhood.

"She's just getting to that point where she's just has a lot of energy, you know, she's loving , she's caring ... yeah, it's fun. There's not too much I couldn't say that I don't love about it," said Doody.

Doody says his own dad is caring and has always been there to support him.
