PONTIAC (WWJ) – She’s bringing free art workshops and the message of diversity to youngsters in Pontiac and Detroit this week.

“Today with the bullying going on with kids and all that, my book kind of teaches to be more excepting of differences and tolerant,” said Lew. “And the story is just a fun story based on my illustrations and my paintings – my paintings are sculpted oils.”READ MORE: Detroit Public Library Branches Distributing Free At-Home COVID-19 Tests

The free workshops are being held in Detroit on Wednesday and in Pontiac Thursday where Lew will be reading and working with children at Children’s Choice Learning Centers on the County of Oakland campus.
