Kremin Inc. Moving To Frankenmuth

SAGINAW -- Kremin Inc., a Michigan contract manufacturer, announced last week it would build a new 19,000 square foot plant and headquarters in Frankenmuth, replacing its current quarters in Saginaw.

The company said it now has 22 employees and plans to create another 25 full-time jobs over the next two years as part of their expansion.

In addition to the new building, company officials said the plan to expand their equipment and technology capacity as well.

"We are excited about this opportunity and for the future of Kremin Inc.," said Kremin co-owner Mike Grossi. "We look forward to working with the city of Frankenmuth and becoming a part of the community."

Company officials worked closely with Saginaw Future Inc., the Michigan Economic Development Corp. and the City of Frankenmuth and said they would like to specifically acknowledge these entities and their staffs for their hard work and support of this project. Kremin expects to move into the Frankenmuth plant in the first quarter of 2014.

Kremin is a designer and manufacturer of precision machined components used in the aerospace, energy, defense, medical device, automotive, dimensional stone, and glass industries. Kremin was acquired by Bryce Moe and Mike Grossi in November 2010. Historically an automotive tool & die shop, Mike and Bryce refocused the company's core capabilities and strategic plan around advanced manufacturing. As part of this strategic focus, Kremin earned dual ISO 9001:2008 and 13485:2003 certification, invested in IT and machine capacity, and added six full-time positions in 2011.

Kremin also manufactures and distributes a line of industry leading tools for the glass and stone fabricating industries called Kremin Onyx Tools.
