Pit Bull Injures Three Family Members In Unprovoked Attack

WATERFORD TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Police respond to a call for help after three people are attacked by a pit bull dog.

Waterford Township police report that three members of a family in the 400 block of Hickory Road were bitten by a Brindle pit bull.

When police arrived the homeowner said that several members of their family had been attacked by the family dog and they didn't know why it happened.

The three family members, a 62-year-old man, a 58-year-old and 21-year-old woman went to the hospital to address wounds to their arms.

The dog was turned over to the Oakland County Animal Control department.

Waterford Twp. has a local ordinance prohibiting ownership any pit bull terrier breeds.
