Happy's Pizza Founder, 4 Others Indicted On Tax Fraud & Conspiracy
DETROIT (WWJ) - The founder of Happy's Pizza franchise and four others were indicted Tuesday on charges of tax fraud and conspiracy.
According to a 62-count indictment, Happy Asker and the others under-reported taxable income and payroll taxes of nine Happy's pizza franchises.
The scheme allegedly ran from 2004 through 2011.
According to the indictment, the franchises paid more than $2.1 million in unreported wages to employees and shareholders over those years.
