7 Local Nurses Lose Hundreds Of Pounds
By Sean Lee, WWJ Health Reporter
Seven Oakwood Hospital nurses have banded together to collectively lose 500 lbs.
It's a story that Metro Detroit will be buzzing about on Wednesday, but WWJ Health Reporter Sean Lee got a sneak preview.
"When you're that heavy, you lose out on a lot of life," said Oakwood RN Trina Miller, who once weighed 300 lbs.
She says a commercial for an open casting call for the TV show "Extreme Weight Loss" convinced her to do something about her weight once and for all. "They followed me for a month or so on weight loss and that, and and then ultimately I ended up being selected," she said.
Not only did the producers pick Trina to be on the show, they also agreed to help six of coworkers lose weight as well.
