DETROIT (CBS DETROIT) - Many NFL teams require players to sign away their rights to motorcycles when they ink their name on a contract. After seeing this video, some NCAA teams might want to do the same.

Florida State tight end Nick O'Leary, grandson of golfing great Jack Nicklaus, nearly catapulted into a bus when a Lexus pulled out in front of him while he was riding his motorcycle in Tallahassee, Fla.

O'Leary, named to the Mackey Award, had 21 catches, 252 yards and three touchdowns over 11 starts in 2012.

Believe it or not, he walked away from this. Yahoo sports said O'Leary was treated at the hospital and released, while the Lexus driver was ticketed for violating O'Leary's right of way. "Seminoles head coach Jimbo Fisher confirmed Fisher was healthy and ready for the start of camp during ACC Media Days," Yahoo sports reported.
