$6,000 Reward Offered In St. Clair Shores T-Mobile Robbery

ST. CLAIR SHORES (WWJ) - A $6,000 cash reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in the robbery of a T-Mobile store in St. Clair Shores.

Police say the store, located on 9 Mile Road near the I-94 expressway, was robbed at gunpoint around 5:10 p.m. on July 16.

According to police, a man wearing a ski mask carried two "laundry type bags" into the store and declared a stick-up. Witnesses say the man shouted that he has AIDS and would shoot if the police showed up because he had nothing to lose.

The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and more than 20 high-end mobile phones. No one was injured.

After exiting the store, the suspect entered the front passenger side of a late-model (2008 to current) burgundy color Chevrolet Impala or Malibu. The suspect's vehicle was observed to be driven by an unknown white female with blond hair, who fled southbound on Eastlawn Street after the incident. Police say the vehicle has a partial license plate number of "0M0" or "DMD."

The suspect is described as a medium skinned black male, approximately 40 to 50 years of age, 5'9" to 5'10" and about 220 lbs. The suspect walks with a limp. He was wearing a blue hat, gray or light blue jacket, blue shorts and white tennis shoes.
