Arrest Made In Port Huron Double Murder

PORT HURON (WWJ) - Police say they have arrested a 31-year-old Port Huron resident in connection with a double murder that occurred earlier this week.

The suspect, who was not identified, was arrested on Thursday is currently lodged at the St. Clair County Jail. Arraignment is scheduled for next week, pending review by the St. Clair County Prosecutor's Office.

Police are expected to release more information on the case later Friday.

The bodies of 29-year-old Daniel W. McRoberts and 26-year-old Michelle R. Ichenberg were found around 7:35 p.m. Tuesday inside a home at the Gratiot Village apartment complex in the 1400 block of Riverview Street near 10th Avenue, just north of the Blue Water Bridge toll road.

Police said they are awaiting autopsy results to determine an exact cause of death.

The incident has been classified as a homicide investigation, although police haven't discussed circumstances surrounding the case.
