Restraining Order Issued Against Detroit Native Jack White

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) Actor and musician Jack White, former frontman of the White Stripes, came through for Detroit's Masonic Temple like a champ.

But his ex-wife claims he's a bully.

Model Karen Elson, White's former wife and mother of his two small children, filed paperwork in Nashville, Tenn., saying White bullies and harasses her.

A judge granted her a restraining order against the 38-year-old rocker. "Wife fears for her and the children's safety as a result of this harassment," the order read, according to the Nashville City Paper, describing how White contacted his ex-wife's paralegal "in an inappropriate and aggressive manner."

The papers go on to say White has an explosive temper. The papers include emails where he allegedly berated Elson numerous times for fraternizing with people he felt had "ripped off" his music.

The order bars White from having any contact with his former wife, unless it directly relates to the care of their children.

The order was approved by a judge, with a hearing set for Aug. 29.
