$10K Reward For Tips In Woman's Dragging Death

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Who ran down Sandra Lee Loepp and left her to die in the street?

Crime Stoppers is hoping a tip from the public will help to solve a hit-and-run accident that killed the 37-year-old mother of five on December 16.

Macomb County Sheriff's officials said Loepp had left Santino's Bar and was walking northbound on either the shoulder or the roadway of Old Van Dyke, near Campground Road, when she was hit and dragged to her death.

Investigators believe the driver stopped to pull Loepp's body out from under the car before fleeing the scene.

Her body was discovered in the parking lot of a mobile home park, about a mile from where authorities believe she was hit.

Family members say Loepp was talking time off to raise her family and had dreams of someday owning her own event planning and decorating company.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a cash reward of up to $10,600 for information that leads to an arrest.

To submit a tip to Crime Stoppers, call 1-800 SPEAK-UP. You can also submit a tip online at www.1800speakup.org, or text "CSM" and your tip to CRIMES (274637). All calls and cash rewards are completely anonymous.
