Kroger Recalls Break 'N Bake Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

DETROIT (WWJ) - It's time to check your freezer.

A limited number of Kroger's Break 'N Bake chocolate chip cookie dough packages are being recalled due to a misbranding error. The grocer says peanut butter cup cookie dough was inadvertently mispacked into chocolate chip cookie dough packages.

The recall is limited to 16 oz. packages of Kroger's Break 'N Bake Chocolate Chip cookie dough with UPC 11110 87530 and a use by date of 24NOV13C21. No other products are impacted by this recall.

The product was shipped to Kroger distribution centers and stores in 26 states, including Michigan.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product. There have been no illnesses reported to date in connection with this product.

Consumers who have purchased the product should return it to the store where originally purchased for a full refund.
