Authorities Filing Charges Against Inmate Who Lied In Skelton Case

ADRIAN (AP) - Southern Michigan authorities have filed charges against a jail inmate they say lied when he told police he knew the whereabouts of three young boys who disappeared three years ago.

Police say they think the boys are dead. Nine-year-old Andrew, 7-year-old Alexander and 5-year-old Tanner Skelton were last seen at their father's home in Morenci in 2010.

John Skelton says he didn't harm his sons. He's serving 10-15 years for unlawful imprisonment.

Fifty-year-old Robert Jamison of Adrian was arraigned on a charge of lying to police.
