Flower Shop Celebrates Good Neighbor Day With Flower Give Away

DETROIT (WWJ) -  Fancy yourself a good neighbor? Even if you don't - here's a chance to mend fences or make new friends.

On Wednesday, September 11, Wesley Berry Flowers will be giving away a dozen roses to anyone stopping by one of four flower stores in metro Detroit between 10 a.m and 3 p.m. in honor of 9-11 victims and first-responders.

There is a catch though says owner, Wes Berry, everyone who receives a dozen roses promises to keep one rose for themselves and give the other 11 away -- in an opportunity to become acquainted with new people or to renew old friendships during their 13th annual Good Neighbor Day.

You can get the free roses at these locations:

Detroit: 150 W. Congress - Penobscot Building

Detroit: 15305 Schoolcraft: 2 blocks east of Greenfield

W. Bloomfield: 6677 Orchard Lake Road - just south of Maple

Commerce: 2985 Haggerty Raod - north of Pontiac Trail

The Wesley Berry flower shops listed will be giving away 12,000 roses - a dozen at a time until supplies run out.
