Tips Sought In Rouge Trail Park Robberies

CANTON (WWJ) - Canton police are hoping a tip from the public will lead them to a woman suspected of breaking into cars.

Police said they're investigating multiple breaking and entering crimes that occurred in the parking lot at Lower Rouge Trail Park.

On one occasion, a car window was broken and a woman's purse was taken from inside the car.

Police said, following the break-in, a female suspect was caught on security camera using a credit card from that purse at a local retailer. Police also have a security camera of the vehicle in which she left the scene.

Anyone who recognizes the woman or the vehicle seen in the surveillance photos is asked to call the Canton Police Department at 734-394-5400.
