District Reports MRSA Case At Northville High School

NORTHVILLE (WWJ) - A case of MRSA has been reported at Northville High School within the athletic program.

The school district was informed about a student in the Northville High School athletic program who has the infection. The student's parent notified the district after they received confirmation from the student's family doctor.

The district initiated a prescribed cleaning regimen of the team locker rooms at NHS and continues to monitor the situation.

The case is separate from one reported last month in Northville, however both students were involved in athletics, officials said.
