VIDEO: Who Broke Into This Oakland County Home?

WATERFORD TWP. (WWJ) - It's one of the most chilling things a homeowner can watch: Video of an unknown man walking through their house while no one is home.

According to police, officers responded to a breaking and entering alarm just after 9 a.m. Monday at a home in the 2400 block of Georgeland, off Hatchery Road just west of Dixie Highway in Waterford Township.

When officers arrived on the scene, they noticed a sliding door on the rear of the home that had been pried open. After checking the home's interior, officers spoke with the homeowner who was not home during the incident.

The homeowner provided police with video surveillance footage that shows an unknown white male walking through the kitchen area, into the living room and then back out the same way he entered. Police didn't say whether anything had been taken from the home.

Police have released that footage in hopes that the public can help them identify the suspect -- who is described as approximately 5'10" tall and bald with a goatee. At the time, the suspect was wearing a purple shirt and blue jeans with a white square-shaped object on his right hip.

Anyone with information on incident or who can identify the suspect is urged to contact police at 248-618-7515.
