Affordable Care Act Live Chat

On Wednesday Oct., 9 at 4 p.m. we hosted a live "Obamacare" question and answer chat session. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) enacted by the Obama administration started October 1. If you don't have health care you're now required by law to have a policy.

The event was hosted by WWJ Newsradio 950 Health Reporter Sean Lee with special guest Jonathan Linder of Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Jonathan Linder is a public policy manager with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Jon has been with the Blues for four years, and has played an integral part in preparing the company for the changes health reform is bringing. Based on his in-depth understanding of the ACA and how it effects a number of constituencies, Jon has influenced and help guide CBSM policy decisions and implementation over the course of the past three years.

Before joining Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan in 2009, Jon completed a masters in health services administration at the University of Michigan. Prior to graduate school, Jon was a sports writer and editor in Wisconsin.
