Media Genesis and Friends of the Troy Public Library Launch New Site

TROY (WWJ)  -- Media Genesis designed and developed a new website to aid the Friends of the Troy Public Library in their mission to promote and support the Troy Public Library.

Media Genesis created the site, found at www.friendstpl.org, with a WordPress content management system to empower the Friends to update their own content and accept donations, membership dues, and volunteer and membership applications through the site. The site also highlights social media channels, letting the Friends engage with fans and followers, and boasts a login screen for board members.

Through the new website, the Friends have replaced their quarterly printed newsletter with a more cost effective and accessible blog. The blog will allow them to promote events, projects and more.

Media Genesis donated $4,600 to the project to ensure the Friends website would be both visually appealing and useful to the Troy community.
