Four OU INC Clients Named Semifinalists In Innovation Contest

ROCHESTER (WWJ) -- Four OU INC SmartZone affiliates have been named semi-finalists in North America's largest business plan contest, the Accelerate Michigan Innovation Competition.

AutoBike, CureLauncher, GreenLancer and Munetrix are among 50 companies that have been chosen to vie for cash prizes in Detroit on Thursday, Nov. 14.

The Accelerate Michigan Innovation Competition is an international business event designed to highlight Michigan as a robust and vibrant venue for innovation and business opportunity. Individuals and organizations with best and brightest new business concepts compete to attract local and national investment capital to help foster their business.

Led by the Business Accelerator Network for Southeast Michigan, the competition provides more than $1 million in cash and in-kind prizes, as well as access to and constructive feedback from a national network of venture capitalists.

OU INC's regional semi-finalist affiliates include:

AutoBike, a new venture that has created technology that monitors a bicycle's operating environment and adjusts the gear so the user can simply hop on and enjoy the ride. With $70,000 in revenue to date, AutoBike is discussing partnership opportunities with four bicycle manufacturers.

CureLauncher, an organization that solves the clinical trial enrollment problem by using a patent-pending, technology-enabled process that translates enrolling trial information to improve patient understanding, matches patients to enrolling trials and contacts trial sites on behalf of patients. CureLauncher has five-year, exclusive contracts with many leading support communities and service agreements with trial sites and sponsors.

GreenLancer.com, an e-commerce platform that leverages an online network of freelancers to give contractors the ability to dramatically reduce the time it takes to develop solar energy projects. Accessing engineering support is made quick, easy and affordable while users are assured of the highest level of quality.
