NovoDynamics Gets New Partner In Africa, Middle East

ANN ARBOR (WWJ) -- The Ann Arbor developer of advanced pattern recognition and analytics technologies NovoDynamics Inc. announced a partnership with Forefront Technologies, a distributor of document imaging hardware and storage systems in Africa and the Middle East that is based in the United Arab Emirates.

Forefront's extensive network of resellers will distribute NovoDynamics NovoVerus optical character recognition software to help government, academic and commercial customers streamline document capture and processing with rapid conversion of paper document images into actionable text.

"The intelligence that NovoDynamics has built into NovoVerus' software truly raises the bar for language detection, recognition and data extraction, taking Arabic and multilingual OCR to an unparalleled level," said Georges Mehchi, CFO and managing partner of Forefront Technologies. "Introducing this technology into Middle Eastern and African markets will be life changing, not only for Arab nations, but globally."

NovoDynamics CEO and president David Rock noted that "there is a tremendous need in the Middle East for the superior quality OCR that NovoVerus delivers. Forefront's position within the imaging industry of the region will greatly accelerate our ability to meet this demand through their distinguished network of VARs and integrators."

NovoVerus automatically cleans and converts even the most challenging documents -- including scanned or faxed images from damaged originals and degraded copies -- into digital text, ready for post-processing, analysis and translation. Including support for mixed language documents, NovoVerus handles global languages including Arabic, Persian (Farsi, Dari), Pashto, Hebrew, Urdu, Chinese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, French and English.
