Barricaded Gunman Situation In Roseville Ends Without Incident

ROSEVILLE (WWJ) - A barricaded gunman situation in Roseville last night as police say a man called police claiming that he had a gun and that he was going to kill the first cop he saw.

Roseville Police Chief James Berlin says officers responded to the scene on Ridgemont Street near Frazho Road and tried to talk the man into giving up.

He says the man came out of the home twice and waved a gun around ... shooting into the air once, but police were concealed and did not return fire.

As the man approached two officers, they shot him with a taser and took him into custody.

He was taken to an area hospital for a mental evaluation.
