DETROIT (WWJ/AP) – Detroit City Clerk Janice Winfrey says her daughter is doing her “a favor” by working as an information technician in her office.
The City Council approved a contract for Lauren Winfrey on Thursday that pays $15.44 per hour from Oct. 14 through April 11, according to a report by The Detroit News. Janice Winfrey said Monday that her daughter, a graduate of the University of Michigan, stepped in when an employee gave a two-week notice.
