Card Game Turns Deadly On Detroit's West Side

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are investigating after two men were killed in a triple shooting on Detroit's west side.

The incident happened around 10 p.m. Thursday at a home in the 8000 block of Pinehurst, near Joy Road and Wyoming Street.

Reporting live from the scene, WWJ's Mike Campbell said signs of the shooting are visible from the street, with bullet holes in a picture window and a busted out glass door.

According to police, a group of people were inside the home, playing cards around a table, when someone fired shots into the home. Police said two men inside the home were fatally wounded.

A third person who pulled up to the house and honked their horn as the shooters were firing away was also struck by a bullet in the arm. That man was able to drive himself to the hospital while alerting police to the situation and giving a description of the shooters.

Police are searching for the suspects and believe there might have been up to three shooters, but have limited details at this point. Investigators are also unsure of a possible motive.

Further information on the victims was not immediately available.

An investigation is ongoing.
