Several business customers have already taken advantage of Comcast Business’ Ethernet Private Line product to connect with a private point to point connection to Liberty Center One where their mission critical infrastructure is housed. Comcast Business’ EPL allows customer traffic to bypass the public Internet and transfer data safely and securely over the Comcast Business network.

“Many of our customers supplement their Internet access that we provide with private lines to offices and other facilities,” said Pat Turner, Liberty Center One CTO. “Our core network is engineered for high availability with multiple carriers blended into a multi-homed Internet solution. Comcast Business’ offering is a great enhancement as their EPL circuits will be completely independent from our network traffic in every way — both virtually and physically. Comcast Business also built in a separate multi-tap coax-based circuit infrastructure for its services. Their circuits are perfect low cost solutions for customers who want independent out-of-band monitoring circuits.”

Added Liberty Center One managing director Tim Mullahy: “We have made significant strides over the past 12 months to attract carriers such as Comcast Business to our facility. Multiple fiber construction projects have kept us busy and we now have a total of seven diverse fiber trunks each with multiple strands of fiber built into the data center. Each fiber uses one of three diverse physical entry points into the building along with diverse physical path away from the building and diverse peering with local, national and international carriers. Through our carrier relationships we can provide network products ranging from T-1”s to 10 Gbps circuits and beyond.”
