TROY (WWJ) — It’s tough to find tech talent these days — that’s the story across the board in Michigan.

Well, an event set for Jan. 9 and sponsored by Automation Alley, Grand Circus and Bizdom aims to do something about that.

The Detroit Tech Startup Matchup will be held that day at Grand Circus, 1570 Woodward Ave., fourth floor, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

The speed networking event is designed to introduce Detroit’s tech startups to talented job seekers looking to join a startup company.

Registration will begin at 6 p.m., and the speed networking will start promptly at 6:30 p.m. Each speed meeting will last four minutes between startup founders and talented people looking to join a startup team. Participants may bring a laptop or tablet to share details about their startup or examples of design and development work. The event will conclude with time for open networking.
