13 People Hurt In I-96 Chain-Reaction Crash

WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WWJ/AP) - Authorities say 13 people have been injured in a multi-vehicle crash west of Lansing on Interstate 96.

The Lansing State Journal and MLive.com reported that several people involved in the chain-reaction crash Monday morning in Eaton County's Windsor Township were hospitalized.

Nobody was believed to be seriously hurt.

Officials said ice and leftover snow on the roadway from a weekend storm contributed to the crash.

AccuWeather Meteorologist Dr. Joe Sobel said more snow is coming to lower Michigan — but, he said, the afternoon commute should be OK on Monday. The snow is expected to hit metro Detroit after dark, which could make for a slippery drive to work Tuesday morning. (More HERE).
