Clean Green Energy, Chesterfield Twp. Firm Partner For Wind Turbines

BRIGHTON (WWJ) -- Burtek Enterprises Inc. of Chesterfield Township in Macomb County has been selected as the manufacturing and assembly partner of the WIND-e20 wind turbine designed by Brighton-based Clean Green Energy Inc.

Under the deal between the two companies, Burtek will fabricate and assemble the WIND-e20, manage the manufacturing value stream and work with CGE to improve CGE's design for cost-effective manufacturability.

Burtek is a full-service design, engineering, and manufacturing organization. A military contractor, Burtek has 25 years of experience in designing, producing, testing and integrating complex systems and applications for military vehicles, radar platforms and other defense products.

"Burtek has taken a radar system from concept design to final combat zone delivery in a six month timeframe," said Bryan Zaplitny, President of CGE. "That solidified them as the perfect manufacturing partner for WIND-e20."

Burtek designs and builds its products in a 230,000-square-foot flexible manufacturing plant.
