DETROIT (WWJ) - Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has filed manslaughter charges against three adults in the death of a 4-year-old Detroit boy who was accidentally shot by his 4-year-old cousin as they played.
Worthy says the three were at a house Thursday when the young girl found a loaded rifle in a room where children were playing.
Authorities say the girl shot Jamel Witcher Jr. in the chest.
Fifty-three year-old Patricia Johnson and 66-year-old Robert B. Richardson along with 55-year-old Harvey Witcher face the manslaughter charges.
It wasn't immediately known if the suspects have lawyers.
