Arrest Made In Connection With Human Remains Found In Garbage Bags

ST. CLAIR SHORES (WWJ) - Police have confirmed the arrest of a person in connection with human remains that had been discarded along a stretch of highway in St. Clair Township.

A 59-year-old person was arrested on Friday and remains in police custody.

The dismembered human remains were positively identified as a 32-year-old white male, missing since January 26 in St. Clair Shores.

On Friday the St. Clair County medical examiner's office conducted an autopsy on the body parts found Thursday in several garbage bags near Fred Moore Highway and Allington.

Police released a surveillance tape [SEE VIDEO] in search of a person-of-interest in the case described as a white woman driving a late 90′s Chevy Blazer, silver in color, matching the description of someone seen in the area dumping garbage Thursday afternoon.
