Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue To Feature Barbie On Cover [PHOTO]

I'm shocked, stunned and saddened all at the same time. The last two years, Sports Illustrated hit a home run with the cover of their swimsuit issue, featuring the lovely Kate Upton.

This year though, it will be nothing of the sort. According to the New York Times, Matell, who created the Barbie doll, and SI have teamed up for the annual issue, which will feature a cover wrap on 1,000 copies declaring Barbie to be "The Doll That Started It All."

Along with the issue, "#Unapologetic" is being tweeted out and is also featured on a billboard in New York's Time Square. The partnership between Mattel and SI will feature a four-page advertisement, so I guess it does make sense coming from a marketing stand point.

SI even released a video with behind the scenes footage of the Barbie photo shoot.

It's not yet clear which model, if any, will appear on the actual cover.
