Looking For Work? State Of Michigan Hosts Virtual Career Fair TODAY

LANSING (WWJ) - Hundreds of job seekers will connect with employers across Michigan on Wednesday during a state-sponsored virtual career fair.

The MiVirtualCareerFair, which takes place Feb. 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., will feature over 30 employers looking to fill thousands of open positions in various industries.

During the career fair, each employer has a "customizable booth" that provides links to job postings, company profiles, employee benefits and employer contact information. Job seekers are then able to communicate one-on-one with company representatives, submit their resumes and explore job openings.

All job openings posted during the events are accessible to participants for 30 days after event completion. Post-event, employers receive in-depth analytics including candidate resumes, applications, chat transcripts and booth visit data.

Participation is free for job seekers. For more information, visit www.mitalent.org/virtualcareerfair.

Additional virtual career fairs are scheduled for May 21, Aug. 27 and Nov. 12. Since the first MiVirtualCareerFair event two years ago, more than 105 employers and 12,500 job seekers have connected through the state-sponsored events.
