Cranbrook Student Gets Perfect Score On ACT And SAT
DETROIT (WWJ) - Well, here's something you don't hear about everyday ... if ever. A metro Detroit girl aced both the ACT and SAT tests.
Seventeen-year-old Iris Huang, of Troy, is a junior at Cranbrook, and was a bit surprised she aced both of these college entrance exams.
How's she feel about it?
"Pretty good, I guess, I mean, I feel accomplished, obviously," she tells WWJ's Beth Fisher. "I worked pretty hard to get good scores on those tests."
Huang took practice tests and is a straight 'A' student and underscores her preparation for the test.
Although it's not a requirement at any college, many students are taking both the ACT and the SAT standardized test for college admission.
"I guess I just ...I studied a lot using like test preparation books and I took some classes ... like preparation classes."
She'd like to attend Harvard or another Ivy league school and says that "for a while now, I've wanted to become a doctor."
Looks like the odds are in her favor.
