Celebrate National Pancake Day With FREE Short Stack At IHOP

DETROIT (WWJ) - What's better than a stack of pancakes? FREE pancakes -- especially when it's for a good cause.

IHOP will be serving up a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes to guests during its annual National Pancake Day on March 4. Guests then are encouraged to make donations to Beaumont Children'’s Hospital, an affiliate of Children'’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

More than 1,500 IHOP restaurants nationwide will be serving up the hotcakes from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday. In metro Detroit, you can grab your free short stack at IHOP restaurants in: Bloomfield Hills, Brighton, Dearborn Heights, Detroit, Livonia, Novi, Roseville, Royal Oak, Sterling Heights, Woodhaven or Ypsilanti.

IHOP hopes to raise more than $25,000 locally on National Pancake Day. All of the donations stay local and help Beaumont Children’'s Hospital purchase medical equipment, which provides live-saving procedures for more than 100,000 sick and injured children each year.

Last year, IHOP served 4.5 million free pancakes on National Pancake Day and pancake lovers donated nearly $3 million to children's charities.
