How Many Detroit Shots Do You Recognize In The 'Transformers: Age Of Extinction' Trailer?

Transformers: Age of Extinction Teaser Trailer by Transformers on YouTube

Thank you Mark Wahlberg. "I think we just found a Transformer," has to be one of the best or worst lines in a movie ever. Well ... I guess that's what I would say too.

The first trailer for "Transformers: Age of Extinction" has been released. How many shots can you recognize from Detroit?

I count eight or nine shots in the Hong Kong setting combined between the Bob-Lo boats and Grand Circus Park.

You'll remember that last summer the cast and crew of the movie were in Detroit shooting scenes. Grand Circus Park was transformed into Hong Kong and the Bob-Lo boats were used for a scene. Both settings make a significant appearance in the latter half of the trailer. The Bob-Lo boat scene features night vision shots, an assault team and a helicopter.

What other locales do you recognize in the trailer? I'm sure I've missed a couple.

I gotta admit that I hated the second or third installments of this franchise, but this trailer has me interested again.

Aside from the Detroit scenes -- you have to admit that Optimus backhanding Grimlock is pretty cool.

The fourth installment of the Michael Bay mechanical alien reboot features a new leading man in Wahlberg instead of Shia Lebeouf (thankfully). Since Megatron was killed by Optimus Prime in the last film there's room for new villians and that role has been filled with dinosaur Transformers called Dinobots. I loved the Dinobots in the cartoons. It's intriguing that they were never on the side of good or evil. We'll have to wait to see which side they end up on.

"Transformers: Age of Extinction" hits theaters on June 27.
