Report: Former Detroit Lion Allegedly Tapped As Hitman In Bizarre Murder For Hire Plot

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) It's the kind of thing that could only happen in Hollywood -- or maybe Detroit?

An elaborate plot by one celebrity dermatologist to knock off a skin-refining rival allegedly involves someone who used to play for the Detroit Lions.

TMZ  is reporting that when dermatologist Dawn DaLuise, 55, wanted to knock out the competition she reached out to someone with ties in Detroit, reportedly a former Lions player. The alleged murder for hire plot was reported to police before it could be carried out, and she was arrested.

DaLuise reportedly has a cadre of famous faces as clients, including Nicki Minaj and Jennifer Aniston. She's now being held on a $1 million bond, charged with solicitation to commit murder.

The player is described only as "very large."

The L.A. County Sheriff's Department isn't naming the hit man suspect or saying whether the person who was approached to carry out the crime was amenable to the plan.

"The investigation is still on-going relative to the male allegedly contacted by DaLuise to perform murder for hire," police said in a press release. "The motive for the alleged crime is over a business dispute with an esthetician competitor."
