Comerica Park Announces Bevy Of New Menu Items -- Lobster Mac & Cheese, Pork & Beans Hot Dog

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) A few days ago, we learned about the newest offering at Comerica Park -- the poutine hot dog, a hot dog slathered in rich, brown gravy and cheese curds. (Thank you, Canada.)

And today, the Detroit Tigers and food, beverage and retail services partner Delaware North Companies Sportservice announced another bevy of new menu items.

In the Tigers Food Court, four new hot dogs have been added to the topped dogs stand: the slaw dog (natural casing frank with coney chili and coleslaw), the pork & beans dog (natural casing frank with baked beans, cheddar cheese and bacon), the late night dog (natural casing frank with fried egg, bacon and cheddar cheese) and the poutine.

Also in the Tigers Food Court, the Mexican Stand will now feature a burrito bowl (a fried tortilla shell filled with lettuce, cilantro lime rice, roasted corn, black beans and slow-braised chicken or taco meat, topped with pico de gallo and cheddar cheese; a meatless bowl is also available).

The Taco Cart, which is near section 135 on level one, has been bolstered with Street Tacos -- corn or flour tortillas with slow-roasted chicken, pork or beef barbacoa topped with pico de gallo and cheddar and Cojita cheeses, garnished with onion, cilantro, lime and taco chili sauce.

"Our culinary team is constantly looking to bring Tigers fans the best possible ballpark experience through our food," said Mark Szubeczak, executive chef for Delaware North Companies Sportservice at Comerica Park.

Additional menu items in the suites include Italian sausage alforno, Polish sausage, tamales, fajitas, lobster mac & cheese, burrito bowls, turkey burgers, an Italian sub (local Italian bread with lettuce, capicola, sopressata, mortadella and provolone cheese, tossed with olive oil and white balsamic vinegar) and the meatball trio (an Italian beef meatball with marinara, an Asian BBQ pork meatball and a turkey meatball with cornbread crumb and natural jus).
