Get A Sneak Peek At St. Joseph Mercy Oakland's New $145M Addition

DETROIT (WWJ) - A Metro Detroit health system is offering an advanced look at its brand new multi-million dollar addition.

St. Joseph Mercy Oakland unveiled its new South Patient Tower during a special preview in Pontiac on Wednesday.

The $145 million, eight-story tower has more than 200 private rooms

St. Joe CEO Jack Weiner says the new tower integrates cutting edge technology with the comforting environment patients need to get better.

"The patients will see a beautiful environment," Weiner said. "They will see one that's restful and healing in its support, but one that is really technologically advanced to make sure we have the safest, healthiest environment possible."

You don't have to be a patient to get your first in-person look at the new Tower. St. Joseph Mercy Oakland will host a community open house Saturday April 26.
