Police: Pedestrian Hit, Killed On Livingston County Road
GREEN OAK TOWNSHIP (AP) - Police say a 27-year-old man has died after being hit by a sport utility vehicle while walking in a Livingston County roadway.
WHMI-FM and the Livingston County Daily Press & Argus of Howell say Kevin Simon was walking home shortly after midnight Sunday in Green Oak Township when he was struck.
Simon was wearing dark clothing and there were no streetlights.
The 33-year-old driver who hit him called 911 after driving to her home in South Lyon.
Simon was pronounced dead at the scene. Green Oak Township is about 35 miles northwest of Detroit.
The death is under investigation.
