Hooray! Fairly Warm Forecast The Rest Of The Week
DETROIT (WWJ) - After that ridiculous winter, how does sunny and 67 degrees sound?
That's the forecast for metro Detroit for most of the day Thursday, with warmer temperatures in the forecast through the weekend. With many local residents' hopes high, we're bound to see some people breaking out the flip-flops by Friday.
"At least over the next several days we're either at or above normal," said WWJ AccuWeather Meteorologist Dave Bowers.
There is a little bit of rain in the forecast, however, with the first round expected to hit the area in the form or a few showers early Thursday evening.
"And behind that front, it actually stays pretty nice ... Friday and Saturday, a couple of nice days to be out and about: 60 on Friday, 64 Saturday — both days partly sunny," Bowers said. "And then we could be looking as some periods of rain on Sunday."
That rain will probably keep temperatures in the 50s to near 60 on Sunday.

Thursday: Mostly sunny skies during the morning hours will give way to occasional showers late in the afternoon. High 67F. Winds SW at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 60%.
Thursday Night: Becoming partly cloudy after some evening light rain. Low 39F. Winds W at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 80%.
Friday: Sunshine along with some cloudy intervals. High 61F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy. Low near 40F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday: Intervals of clouds and sunshine. High 64F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy skies early will give way to cloudy skies and light rain after midnight. Low 49F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90%.
Sunday: Showers early becoming a steady light rain later in the day. High 60F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 70%.
Sunday Night: A steady rain in the evening. Showers continuing late. Low near 50F. Winds S at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 60%.
