DETROIT (WWJ) - Superheros are invading the Suburban Collection Showplace  in Novi this weekend for the 25th anniversary of Motor City Comic Con.

The three-day event will feature dozens of special guests including, for the first time, a reunion of the entire cast of the hit 1970's TV show: "The Six Million Dollar Man."

The show's star, Detroit-native actor Lee Majors, is the veteran of six series and more than 50 movies.

He told WWJ Newsradio 950's Marie Osborne he learned some of his first acting lessons from the great Barbara Stanwyck: "Be on time, know your lines, hit your mark, and keep your mouth shut."

Majors says — based on today's obsession with technology — "The Six Million Dollar Man" was ahead of its time.

"Right now you can see what we were aiming for," Majors said.

His most treasured memories include guest spots on the show.

"We were shooting in Toronto and there was a little girl that they put in there, and they wanted to try to make her a new bionic woman. Her name was Sandra Bullock," he said.

What was Majors' favorite episode?

"Everyone always brings up the Bigfoot episode: I was wrestling this huge Bigfoot figure what was actually Andre the Giant," Majors said. "He was a phenomenal wrestler, he was over seven feet tall, and nearly 400 pounds."

What's Majors' advice to young, would-be stars?

"It's such a competitive business," he said, "and if you can't take rejection you're in the wrong business."

Among with Majors, among the pop culture celebs scheduled to appear at Motor City Comic Con are William Shatner, Lindsey Wagner, Burt Young, and John Barrowman, just for starters.

The event takes place Friday through Sunday, May 16-18.
