Wings forward Justin Abdelkader is not exactly making friends overseas at the World Championships in Finland. Earlier this week the International Ice Hockey Federation decided to suspend Justin Abdelkader for one game at the 2014 World Hockey Championship for a knee-to-knee hit on Kazakhstan’s Konstantin Pushkaryovbegan.
Earlier Thursday in a game between the United States and the Czech Republic,Abdelkader received a five minute major and a game misconduct for a shot to the head of St.Louis Blues forward Vladimir Sobotka. After seeing the video, I assume he will get another suspension.
