First an Academy Award and now a political title? If his friends are right, George Clooney,53, could be California’s newest governor. Sources close to the star told British tabloid paper The Daily Mirror that Clooney is currently being courted by the Democratic Party to run in 2016 for governor of California.
Clooney is known for supporting the Democrat party, notably rallying for President Obama during his 2012 presidential run. This, in addition to his engagement to human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddun, could make Clooney the right candidate for the state, according to his friends.

During his surprise Cannes seminar “Technology, Culture, and Consumer Adoption: Learning to Read the Cultural Landscape,” West spoke on the design of the Internet, calling it “f-ing ugly” as well as calling out the social media app Instagram.
“The world as a whole is f—ing ugly,” he claimed. “The Internet as a whole is f—ing ugly, too. But I’m not in the construction business. I said to Kevin [Systrom, co-founder of Instagram], why don’t you let us redo Instagram? Now, you know, Instagram is nice. It’s nice-looking. I’m not knocking it. But just in general, everyone spends all of their time looking at their screens or their phones. And just as a simple task, we could clean that up.”READ MORE: Detroit Retiree Sees Sidewalk Repaired Months After Water Main Break
