Actress Jane Seymour Brings Message Of Wellness To Michigan

WIXOM (WWJ) - She's famous for her 1990s TV role as "Doctor Quinn: Medicine Woman" — but now actress Jane Seymour is bringing a new kind of wellness to metro Detroit.

The name of the show is "Feel Grand with Jane Seymour" and the actress says that's the primary message of her new 13 episode health-talk series shooting this week at Detroit Public TV in Wixom.

Although the show is aimed at the Baby Boomer/grandparent set, Seymour — a very fit grandma herself at age 63 —  says it's information everyone can use to be healthier.

"Yes, this is about the older generation, but it really isn't," Seymore said. "What it's about is: What can we pass on to tell our children and our grandchildren? What damage are they doing to themselves now that they could avoid doing and be more comfortable in their older age?"

Shooting on the show, which will feature nationally known experts like Deepak Chopra wraps Friday. Look for it on-air some time in October.
