Traffic Alert: Weekend Road Work

DETROIT (WWJ) - Know before you go! Road construction zones are bound to tie up traffic this weekend.

The following road work projects have been announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.

M-10 (Lodge Freeway):

In Wayne County, northbound M-10 from I-75 to I-94 will have two lanes closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work. The ramp from Bagley Avenue to northbound M-10 will also be closed.

I-696:

In Oakland County, eastbound and westbound I-696 at Drake Road will have one lane closed from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday for utility work.

In Oakland County, eastbound and westbound I-696 between Coolidge and Greenfield will have the left lane closed, including ramps, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for utility work.

I-75:

In Wayne County, southbound I-75 from Clay Street to I-94 will have two lanes closed from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. for road work.

In Wayne County, southbound I-75 ramp to eastbound I-94 will be closed from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday for road work.

In Wayne County, northbound and southbound I-75 ramps to northbound M-10 will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work.

In Wayne County, northbound and southbound I-75 between Springwells Street and Schaefer Highway will have two lanes closed in each direction from 8 p.m. Friday to 3 p.m. Sunday for road work. The I-75 north ramp to Dearborn Street will be closed.

In Wayne County, southbound I-75 ramp to Schaefer Highway and M-85 (Fort Street) will close from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

In Wayne County, southbound I-75 at M-39, Southfield Road, will have one lane closed from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday for road work. The ramp from southbound I-75 to M-39/Southfield Road will be closed.

I-96:

In Wayne County, eastbound I-96 at Warren Avenue will have two lanes closed from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday for road work.

I-94:

In Wayne County, westbound I-94 ramps to northbound and southbound I-75 will close from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday for road work.

In Wayne County, westbound I-94 at M-1 (Woodward Avenue) will have multiple lane closures from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday for road work.

M-85 (Fort Street):

In Wayne County, northbound and southbound M-85 (Fort Street) between Outer Drive and Pennsylvania Roads will be closed from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.

Jefferson Avenue:

In Wayne County, eastbound and westbound Jefferson Avenue between Griswold and St. Antoine streets will have two lanes closed from 7 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work.

M-15: (Ortonville Road)

In Oakland County, northbound and southbound M-15 (Ortonville Road) between Wolfe and Seymour Lake roads will have lane closures from 8 p.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Thursday for road work.

M-25:

In St. Clair County, northbound and southbound M-25 between Hancock and M-136 will have multiple lane closures daily from 8 a.m. Friday until 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 1 for road work.

M-29:

In St. Clair County, southbound M-29 from Brown to Jay streets will have two lanes closed from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday.

Beginning the week of Monday, June 30:

I-696 Service Drive:

In Oakland County, eastbound and westbound I-696 Service Drives between Dequindre Road and M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) will have one lane closed daily from Monday through Thursday for utility work.

I-69 Business Loop:

In St. Clair County, eastbound I-69 to eastbound I-69 Business Loop will close completely from Monday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday for road work.

M-97:

In Macomb County, northbound and southbound M-97 (Groesbeck Highway) at Hayes Road will have one lane closed daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Sunday, July 6.
