GROSSE POINTE (CBS Detroit) – Ride-sharing company Uber is offering free rides in the Grosse Pointe area through Sunday.

The on-demand car service is offering up to four free rides up to $25 for new and existing users.

Those looking to redeem the free rides can download the Uber app and  enter the code GPLOVE to unlock the four free rides. If the total fare is over $25, the credit card on file will be charged the difference.

Rides will be free in the Grosse Pointes, St. Clair Shores, Eastpointe and Roseville areas during this time.

This is the latest promotion for the start-up company, which expanded to Detroit in March 2013. Last week Uber delivered ice cream on-demand throughout metro Detroit.
